Young Change Makers @ GYA
May 23, 2013
We don't want the younger ages to miss out on everything the Global Youth Assembly has to offer, so we've organized a special day just for them!
On August 9th, we're hosting a one-day leadership program for those aged 10 to 14 to learn about citizenship, leadership and human rights. Participants will have the opportunity to explore various topics on health and human rights as they learn about how they can promote equality, justice and freedom in our world.
The day will consist of exciting, hands-on activities and presentations covering the topics of Indigenous water rights, community gardens and much more! Energizing and educational human rights lessons will also be integrated throughout the program to ensure that children become aware of existing human rights issues and how to ignite change in their communities. Space is limited so register soon! Visit www.youthassembly.ca for more information and the complete schedule for the day.
Date: Friday, August 9, 2013
Time: 8:45am - 4:45pm
Location: University of Alberta, Edmonton Clinic Health Academy
