Rights in Play Volunteer Training: May 23

April 23, 2015

Rights in Play Volunteer Youth Education Opportunity

Do you want to work with young people to make our world a more just and peaceful place?

We are looking for outgoing, energetic & committed individuals who want to be inspired and in turn, inspire children and youth through human rights education!

Join our Rights in Play team as a volunteer Human Rights Youth Educator, working with young people in our community to advance a culture of respect and compassion and promote understanding of rights and responsibilities for all.

The John Humphrey Centre’s Rights in Play program uses interactive games, activities and dialogues to teach children and youth about human rights. As a Human Rights Youth Educator, you will bring the Rights in Play program to children and youth in schools, summer camps and youth groups in and around Edmonton.

We are offering our Rights in Play volunteer training May 23, 2015 from 9:30 am-3:30 pm at Norwood Family and Child Resource Centre (9516-114 Avenue). Participants will meet others with similar interests and receive specialized training on how to integrate our Rights in Play curriculum into child and youth work settings.

Please bring your own lunch.

If you are interested in registering, please contact us!

Come join our Rights in Play volunteer team and be a part of advancing peace and human rights in your community!
