Free2BeYOUth

February 13, 2014

The first 4 workshop series of our F2BY program have been a great way to get the conversation going about inclusion. F2BY clubs from across the province have explored topics such as human rights, diverse faiths, disability and accessibility, and developing healthy relationships through meaningful projects and workshops! From demystifying common stereotypes about marginalized youth, to learning how to communicate using sign language, youth have open their minds to inclusive practices, behaviours, and language through the F2BY program.

The month of February is dedicated to developing healthy relationships and we at the JHC, with our partners from (IN)spired, have been collaborating with our F2BY schools to facilitate workshops on establishing and maintaining positive relations with others. Students have been exploring avenues of open communication, mutual respect, empathy, amongst many other building blocks for developing healthy relationships.

There are many more insightful workshop themes coming up so stay tuned to see what our F2BY clubs are up to in the months to come!
